🛠️ Reliability checklist: if a scheduled task is late or didn’t run
If a scheduled task is late or did not run, use this checklist to find the blocker fast and fix the right Android setting first.
If a TikTask doesn’t run, it’s usually not your schedule. It’s Android doing battery-saving things in the background.
The good news: once you fix it once, TikTask becomes very reliable.
First, check the simple stuff (30 seconds)
The main 4 reasons tasks don’t run (and the fix)
From the TikTask home screen, open System Monitor to see what matters on your phone. It can highlight checks like Accessibility, battery optimization, Power Management, Xiaomi special permissions, background battery restrictions, Auto-start / Auto-launch, Notifications, or Draw Overlays, then jump to the right settings screen when supported. If the shortcut doesn’t open on your phone, you can still follow the settings paths in each section below.
1) Accessibility is off (most common)
TikTask needs Accessibility to perform actions inside other apps.
2) Battery optimization is blocking TikTask
Android may delay or stop apps to save power. Set TikTask to Unrestricted (or Don’t optimize).
3) Auto-start / background activity is disabled
Some brands require a special toggle so apps can start in the background (common on Xiaomi, Tecno, and Infinix).
- Look for Auto-start, App Launch, or Power Manager
- Enable it for TikTask
4) A phone-specific background rule is still active
On some phones, the last blocker is hidden in a brand-specific menu like Power Manager, Background usage limits, Xiaomi special permissions, or App launch. Notifications and overlays do not make tasks run, but they help you see alerts and warnings.
Fast “do this now” checklist (2 minutes)
- ✓ Accessibility enabled
- ✓ Battery set to Unrestricted / not optimized
- ✓ Auto-start / background activity allowed (if available)
- ✓ Notifications enabled
- ✓ Overlays enabled only if TikTask asks for alerts or timers
If it still doesn’t run
- Restart your phone once
- Open TikTask once after restarting
- Schedule a new test 2 minutes from now
Before you blame the channel
Most late tasks are not caused by WhatsApp, Telegram, Gmail, or another channel. The blocker is usually Android battery policy, Accessibility, or a phone-specific background restriction.
